This 4-week, 80-hour course is a combination of online and in-person instruction and provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures and become an Electrocardiography Technician. The course curriculum will cover anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, basic electrophysiology, ECG procedures, and equipment usage. Students will also learn about ECG interpretation and identifying abnormal ECG patterns, as well as patient preparation, communication, and safety protocols.
The in-person component of the course will provide students with hands-on experience in a clinical setting, allowing them to apply the concepts they have learned and gain practical experience performing ECG procedures. Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to take a certification exam and become a Certified Electrocardiography Technician (optional).
